A former U.S. Army 38B Civil Affairs Specialist, he saw how the "dealer" model preyed on families and knew there was a better way. His mission is to build a company that serves its members, not Wall Street—combining military precision with a community-first heart.

Scott Hecker

Chief Operations Officer & Co-Founder

Scott Hecker ensures that the Defendr promise is kept every single day. As a former Australian Army Infantry service member, he brings an operations-driven mindset to our In-House Monitoring and installation teams. His focus is simple: flawless execution, rapid response, and ensuring that every member is protected by a system that works when it counts.

Defendr provides professionally managed, in-house alarm monitoring services for residential, rental, commercial, and mobile applications. Monitoring services are subject to separate service agreements, applicable laws, equipment compatibility requirements, and availability within supported service areas. Features, response capabilities, and service terms may vary based on equipment configuration, communication method, and local regulations.

All monitored customers are automatically enrolled in the Defendr Member Network for loyalty and program participation purposes only. Membership status does not constitute ownership, partnership, equity interest, voting rights, or any form of investment in Defendr or its affiliated entities. References to “Members,” “Community,” or similar terminology are solely descriptive of customer participation in Defendr’s service ecosystem.

“Community Dividend Credits,” “Member Rewards,” “Monitoring Credits,” “Annual Cashback Rebates,” or similar incentives are discretionary promotional or loyalty benefits that may be offered once internal operational milestones are achieved. Such benefits, if offered, may include monitoring bill credits, promotional services, equipment incentives, or other non-cash rewards as determined by Defendr in its sole discretion. Monitoring rates, contract terms, renewal conditions, eligibility requirements, and membership benefits may be modified, suspended, or terminated at any time without prior notice, except where prohibited by law. Customers remain responsible for maintaining active service accounts in good standing to remain eligible for any applicable loyalty programs.

Use of monitoring services constitutes acceptance of Defendr’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Alarm Monitoring Agreement, and all applicable disclosures.
